Our energy, our future

Commercial Members

Wadebridge Chamber of Commerce is a member of WREN, and many Wadebridge businesses belong individually to WREN. There is thus an active collaboration with WREN’s commercial values.  We all believe that Wadebridge presents some of the best opportunities in Cornwall for businesses to flourish and serve their local community.  By visibly promoting the town’s development of the low carbon economy, more footfall will be attracted to the town throughout the year, and new businesses will be encouraged to invest and move to the area in order to be part of something truly unique and exciting.commercialmembers

The Chamber of Commerce is working to establish and develop those practices within each business that contributes to the overall low carbon economy of the town. Each business will then display these policies and practices in their shop windows or on their premises so that residents and visitors can see that the business community of the whole town is working together towards a common goal.  In addition, both the WREN and Chamber websites will publish a directory of members who are involved in this project.

The Wadebridge Pound, or Wrens as they are known, is just one example of how the commercial sector is working with WREN.  We currently have over 50 local businesses participating in the scheme and each one of these has kindly agreed to donate 10% of every Wr redeemed by their shop or business into the Community Fund.  This clearly demonstrates that local businesses want to work with the local community and that they are committed to improving the lives of the people who live and work in the town.

If you own a business and even if you are not part of the Chamber of Commerce, why not get in touch to see how you can help and be part of something special?
