Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network (WREN) are, with the support of Cornwall Development Company, trunning the Green Energy Village at The Royal Cornwall Show, 2013.
The Royal Cornwall Show is Cornwall’s largest event, with 114,000 visitors attending the show in 2012. A significant proportion of this footfall visits the Green Energy Village as the first port of call for finding out more about low carbon technologies in a credible environment. Therefore, hiring a stand in the Green Energy Village is an affordable, efficient solution for companies in the green sector wanting to promote their business. It provides a great opportunity for visitors and traders alike to connect, discover, collaborate and trade, all under one roof. The WREN Green Energy Village 2013 will showcase exciting talks from experts of this industry, diverse exhibitions, and presence from third sector organisations.
Wadebridge Energy Company partners with South West Water
For the first time in nearly ninety years, Wadebridge will have its own electricity generating company. Wadebridge Energy Company will install solar panels on roofs and is working with South West Water on an installation to power one of its treatment works.

Vote for locally owned energy
The Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network (WREN) has applied for two grants from Energyfund Cornwall to make a significant step forward for locally-owned community energy. However, to have a chance of winning them it needs to demonstrate support through on-line voting by its supporters for both projects.
