Good Energy

Would you like to have 100% renewable electricity, get Wr25 (worth £25) to spend in participating Wadebridge businesses and have a contribution made on your behalf to WREN’s Community Fund?

WREN has negotiated with Good Energy, one of the UK's only suppliers of 100% renewably generated electricity, a fantastic deal just for you. If you switch to Good Energy through WREN you will receive Wr25 from WREN and a donation will be made to the WREN Community Fund on your behalf. Your Wr25 can only be claimed from the WREN Energy Shop on presentation your first quarterly bill.

Good Energy offers a 100% renewable electricity tariff from certified renewable sources such as sun, wind and water. So by switching to Good Energy you are doing your part to reduce your home's carbon footprint and helping to bring the country towards a greener future.

A £10,000 fund is available for community projects to benefit people living in Wadebridge, St Kew, St Mabyn and Egloshayle.

The money comes from the Middle Treworder Solar Farm under a “Section 106” agreement made when it was given permission to go ahead, and is available as grants to voluntary and not-for-profit organisations and community groups in the area around the solar farm.

Falmouth University students have designed the future – or some aspects of it at least. The students, supported by Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network, worked with local people to develop ideas to improve life and business using superfast broadband technology and turn the ideas into designs. Their projects are now on display at WREN’s Energy Shop in Wadebridge.
